Exclusively for our inn guests, breakfast is included in the room rate and is decidedly different from your everyday fare. Prepared with care by the Inn at Meander Plantation staff, our breakfasts are an enticing reason to get out of our comfy beds in the morning!

3 course breakfast at inn near Culpeper VA

Mornings at our bed and breakfast begin in the Dining Room with our 3-course seasonal, freshly prepared, locally sourced breakfast. We offer one seating each day at 9 o’clock. The tables for two (or appropriate number in your party) are set with crisp white linens and fresh flowers. The aromas of baking muffins and fresh-ground coffee greet you and set the stage for your choice of juices, followed by fresh fruit. Daily entrees are a choice between a sweet or savory entree.

If there’s a need to leave early, we will happily make a continental to-go breakfast. While our state health regulations limit what we can send, we can include our fresh baked muffins or house baked fruit bread, granola bar, fruit and choice of juice. We also keep commercial cereals and whole or skim milk on hand for anyone who might choose to eat lighter.

Our menu alternates through a variety of dishes. A few favorites include:

  • Spinach Strata

    Savory bread pudding with organic farm eggs, spinach, roasted red peppers and goat cheese

  • Ricotta-Mascarpone Blintzes

    Ricotta-mascarpone filled crepes, with a touch of lemon, topped with wild blueberry-orange-port sauce

  • Breakfast BLT

    BLT of French baguette, heirloom tomatoes, thick sliced bacon and two poached organic farm-fresh eggs topped with fresh baby arugula

  • Baked Peach Melba

    Fresh, seasonal locally-grown peaches baked with brown sugar, topped with vanilla Greek yogurt and fresh raspberries

While breakfast is only available for our inn guests, our 4 course dinners are open to the public in our elegant onsite restaurant!
